Location: 8/10 

Quiet Kalamiónas pebble cove, west of the centre, Kassiópi

Style/character: 8/10 

1980s Greek-island-seaside with blonde-pine furniture and beige tiles underfoot, but shipshape and immaculately maintained.

Rooms: 8/10 

11 units are distributed evenly over two separate buildings, Theofilos and Pagona, as a mix of studios, 2-room and 3-room apartments, with twin or double beds. Kitchens (often just a corner) are well equipped, with little mini-ovens in addition to hobs, but there’s no air con, though, which can be a problem in August.

Service: 9/10 

Theo, Pagona and daughter Vivi, your hosts, couldn’t be nicer and speak/write excellent English. The pool area (if the sea over the road fails to appeal) is kept spotless, with ample sun-loungers.

Food & drink: na/10 

Self-catering.

Value for money: 9/10 

Excellent, if you don’t expect boutique-standard decor.

Access for disabilities?  Ground floor of Theofilos wing only.

Family friendly? Yes, for the 2-bedroom apartments.

Stay nowhere else in Kassiopi: “This was our first stay in Kassiopi and it was a very special one for us as our daughter had arranged to be married in the church. We stayed at THEOFILOS apartments that have stunning views overlooking the bay and was only a two-minute walk to the main street... We would whole heartily recommend the THEOFILOS apartments for a stay in Kassiopi whether you go with children or not...When we go back, which we will, we will definitely book these apartments and nowhere else..."

Great Beach Location:  "Have stayed in the Theofilos (1) on more than 1 occasion and Theo, the owner is a great character. The 6 rooms are 'Typically Greek' but well maintained and provide great value accommodation in one of the best locations in Kassiopi...."

Just Great: "I have visited many places in Greece but Theofilos Apartments had something special to offer me. Hospitality and tranquility is certainly one of the reasons that make us want to go back again. The pool is just great and the apartment was really really clean.

 I would, without second thought, recommend it! (especially for couples)
